Magnetic Particle Testing
Magnetic particle testing is used on ferromagnetic materials during the manufacturing process and on in-service equipment. It is a great way to find fatigue cracking on existing equipment under lots of stress and vibration. We provide magnetic particle testing services using AC/DC yokes with visible or fluorescent particles. Additional services may be provided upon request.
Liquid Penetrant Testing
Liquid penetrant testing is a portable method for inspecting nonferrous materials for defects. It's also a great alternative when allowed to perform prep, root and final weld inspections on pressure vessels instead of radiographic testing when permitted.
Ultrasonic Testing

Coating Inspection

Coating Surface Preparation Testing
The majority of coating failures occur due to poor surface preparation. Not only does the surface itself play an important role, but so do things like surface temperature, dew point, and contaminants. Thorough pre-application checks help ensure coating are being applied to surface that will provide maximum adhesion.
Coating Thickness Testing
Coatings must be applied in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications to achieve maximum performance from your coatings and assets. Certified coating inspectors use coating thickness gauges to verify coating have been applied accordingly. This can be done during both the wet and dry or cured stages of the project.
Holiday Testing
Holiday testing is available and is completed after the coating has cured on metallic surfaces. It can be either high or low voltage, depending on the thickness of the coating. It is used to detect small bare spots on the surface that can go undetected by the naked eye. Holiday testing is ideal for testing newly coated surfaces on tanks and piping.
Adhesion Testing
Adhesion testing is completed after the coating is completely cured to ensure the system is performing per the project specifications. This is a destructive form of testing and requires repair after testing is complete.
